Belwin/Mills originally published 25 double bass solos with piano in 1980. In 1994 Belwin/Mills-Warner Bros. combined the works (18 of 25) in a collection of two volumes. Alfred Publishing assigned the copyright to St. Francis Music Publications in 2007. St. Francis Music Publications will now publish the pieces individually (nine solos in 2008 and nine in 2009).

Double Bass CD Recordings - Lucas Drew, Double Bass - (Primarily Designed for Students and Teachers)

    Double Bass Sampler and Double Bass Sampler II introduce bassists and string teachers to the wide range of literature for the instrument. Most of the compositions were initially recorded by Coronet Recording Co. on three LPs during the mid-1970s. These LPs, designed primarily for students, were among the first bass recordings by an American. The Contemporary Baroque Trio (1977 - 1982) culminated its work with a concert at Carnegie Recital Hall in New York. 20th Century Sampler presents an overview of the many styles of 20th Century compositions for double bass. Most are original works. Only the Henze and Krenek are transcriptions. This CD is dedicated "to the new generations of exceptional double bassists."
